Electrochemical characterization of PbO2-TiO2 composite prepared on stainless steel substrate by cyclic voltammetry method

In this study, PbO2-TiO2 composite was prepared on stainless steel (SS) substrate by cyclic voltammetry (CV) method from mixed solution containing TiO2 sol-gel with size 10 to 50 nm. the electrochemical deposition, nanoparticle will disperse in growing PbO2 coating create composite. These nanoparticles are delivered electrolyte bulk eletrode surface diffusion and migration.The properties of SS/PbO2-TiO2 electrodes were investigated 0.5 M H2SO4 CV, PP (potentiodynamic polarization), EIS (electrochemical impedance spectroscopy) methods without UV irradiation. The results showed that exchange current density (io), value o (ip,a ip,c, respectively) depended concentration. With a 2 g/L TiO2, redox peaks is largest obtained close maximum value, indicating electrode exhibits best activity under condition. Due presence composite, height increased sharply light. This demonstrated photo-electrochemical very good, which can be used remove dyes wastewater electrocatalytic oxidation.
